With over 300 kilometers of well-maintained and signposted trails, the Gstaad mountains are a true hiker's paradise. The network of trails is extensive and well connected thanks to mountain railroads and public transport. Find out in advance about the operating times of the mountain railroads and the opening hours of the mountain restaurants.
One of the most popular hikes takes you from the Horneggli via the Hornberg to the Rinderberg. You can enjoy a magnificent Alpine panorama along the six-kilometre route.
Scooter
Let's go zoom down the mountain!
Start your scooter descent from the Wispile and Rinderberg middle stations with a view of the beautiful panorama - and the winding roads in front of you. The mountain railroads from Gstaad and Zweisimmen will take you to your chosen starting point in comfort. Rent your scooter and helmet directly at the mountain station. You can use it for a single ride or for the whole day. The scooter routes of Bergwelt Gstaad are suitable for all adventure-seekers aged twelve and over.

Discover Gstaad with your bike
Gstaad is perfect for biking. More than 500 kilometers of GPS tours and signposted routes for mountain bike fans await you. Gstaad also has a lot to offer road cyclists and leisure cyclists. You can also look forward to an e-bike charging system, specialized bike accommodations, two pump tracks and excellent services, while the mountain railroads take you and your bike comfortably and quickly up to the peaks - leaving you plenty of energy to enjoy the varied trails. The “Mountainbike-Bergbahnen Tour Light” is particularly popular. On this scenic circular route, you ride 33 kilometers on beautiful single trails and asphalt roads.

Fun and games for young mountain fans
Various playgrounds are waiting to be discovered in the Bergwelt Gstaad. "Olga's cowshed" is an educational and fun indoor experience on the Rinderberg. Here, children can have fun milking cows, playing with the egg ball track or playing the glockenspiel - and learn all kinds of things about the four-legged mountain dwellers in the process. A visit to "Olga's cowshed" is just as suitable as a bad weather program as it is on a beautiful day. It can be ideally combined with the family hike from Rinderberg to Horneggli. Young mountain fans can also enjoy a varied play paradise at the Wispile adventure playground. The adventure playground is equipped with slides, climbing elements, water games and lots of quiet zones. A special highlight is the petting zoo, which is open throughout the season.
