Tips for safe tobogganing

To ensure that the fun doesn't come to a premature end, there are a few points to bear in mind: In addition to a functional sledge, good clothing including ski trousers, ski jacket, gloves and hat, it is recommended that you wear a helmet. Good footwear should also be worn. Winter boots with a good profile are best.

On the way, it is important to drive with foresight, to have the sledge under control and to be able to brake at any time. In particular, if you are about to cross another sledging run or piste, if there are other sledgers on the run or if you are about to take a tight bend, you need to slow down and drive carefully.

The Swiss Council for Accident Prevention provides tips on safe sledging.
