The trail starts in the village of Gstaad and leads through the car-free promenade before reaching the edge of the Saane. During the walk, you can enjoy the surrounding panorama of the Saanenland or watch the lively water feature of the stream. Halfway between Saanen and Gstaad is the petting zoo and the Alpenruhe Foundation's adventure world. The entire route is asphalted, but can also be walked on a gravel path in places. Bus stops allow you to return by post bus at any time.

It is possible to extend the tour by starting in Grund and walking to Saanen. This extends the hike by approx. 1 hour. The post bus stop for the starting point is the Chlösterli stop.

  • Approach

    The holiday Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The region is easily accessed by rail or car from the regions around Lake Thun and Lake Geneva and the Gruyere region Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the holiday region of Gstaad are the "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) train and numerous post bus lines.
