The Sparenmoos cross-country ski trail enjoys a beautiful mountain setting. The area at the foot of the Hundsrügg above Zweisimmen has already served as the venue for the Swiss cross-country skiing championships. The trail includes a varied mosaic of moors, meadows and small groves of trees.Due to its particular beauty and the variety of moorland types here, the area around Sparenmoos-Nujeberg, through which this trail runs, is considered to be a moorland of national importance.

The cross-country ski trail on the snow-sure, sun-kissed high plateau offers a varied route through the gently rolling landscape. It enchants with a fantastic view from the Stockhorn to Les Diablerets. From the start at Berghaus Sparenmoos, the route first heads towards Site-Alp, from where the view of the Simmental opens up. From there, an extra loop of approx. 3 km is made on the ground from the Site. If you wish, you can round off your cross-country skiing experience with a snack made from regional products in the Buvette right at the finish

  • Approach

    The Destination Gstaad is located in the south-west of Switzerland right on the border to the French-speaking part of the country. The Destination is easily accessed by rail or car from the regions around Lake Thun and Lake Geneva and the Gruyere region Direct connections to the European high-speed rail network and all international airports in Switzerland guarantee a time-saving and pleasant journey. The main means of transport in the holiday region of Gstaad are the "MOB" (Montreux-Oberland Bernois) train and numerous post bus lines.
